Organized by FRONT and supported by the EBRD, the LEED educational program was held on April 26 at Klan Arena in collaboration with EcoBuild. LEED is the American standard for green buildings, evaluating the sustainability and energy efficiency of construction projects.
For the first time in Kosovo, organized by FRONT and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and in collaboration with EcoBuild the LEED educational program was held at the Klan Arena — introducing the international standard for green buildings and energy efficiency.
The goals of this program were to:
• Introduce the basic principles of LEED
• Promote awareness and implementation of green building practices
• Raise awareness about the role of energy efficiency in modern projects
The event brought together a group of professionals from the fields of architecture, construction, and relevant institutions, opening a new dialogue on the importance of sustainable building in our country.
In addition to this educational initiative, FRONT has already taken a concrete first step by launching the first local project pre-certified according to the highest LEED standards.
Through this project and educational events, our aim is to set a practical example and encourage other investors to pursue the development of healthier, more efficient, and more sustainable buildings for the community and the future.
